A better plan would be to power the WL183 with a 9vdc battery box and then =
into the line in on the recorder. I've not powered the 183s but I started o=
ut making mic arrays out of the Panasonic capsules. They have the same volt=
age requirements as the 183s and can also be run on the recorders pip but t=
hey work much better at 9V than they do at 2.5V. Does anyone have the wirin=
g diagram of the 180 series mics. Oppps... there it is in the link. Ok... =
Look at this page http://www.mp3forkidz.com/mic/mod.html Treat the W=
L183s as a 3 wire Linkwitz Mod. Same circuit. Pin 1 on the mics connector=
(shield in the cable) To the Battery - and the bottom of the 10k resistor.=
.. Pin 2 on the mics connector (red wire in the cable) to the Battery +... =
Pins 3,4 on the mics connector (black wire in the cable) to the junction=
of the 10k resistor and the 2.2 uf cap. Your audio then goes into the reco=
rder from the other side of the cap and the ground.
