Rob, I am convinced by the wisdom of what you're saying. The low prices for these units do give me an opportunity to do something really interesting. From what I am reading the MZ-NH700 would also fit the purpose. It isn't like I want three AM/FM radios (or even one). They are only very slightly cheaper than the NHF800's but possibly more available. Unfortunately I can't see any suppliers for the Rolls PB224 unit in oz so I will have to ship. I wonder if there are any Australians here who have found a local online dealer for such minor bits and pieces as XLR ports/Y-stereo-mini converter leads, stands and other things used in these rigs? Anyway thanks Rob for taking the time to convince me. I will do some more research and ask advice here again on the other aspects of the ambient rig. Graham |
