Not to split hairs, but the body of the 700 and 800 are identical. The 800= has a sort of remote headphone cable that has the radio/tv/weather tuners i= n it. If you carry an 800 without the remote, it's a 700. Except it has an "8= " on it instead of a "7". And maybe the 700 has disabled the utterly worthles= s playback sound processing. As it should.
