Greg,
I usually prefer ORTF to most other techniques also. For me, though,
the biggest drawback is how sensitive cardioids are to wind and
handling disturbance. That's one of the reasons I've experimented so
much with omnis and boundaries, trying to bring together the best of
both worlds if possible. Which brings me to this question: The photo at
the top of your earthlink.net page -- is that your Schopes ORTF rig? If
so, are you willing to share more detail about the mount and wind
screen?
