Hi Rich
my browser at blueyonder didn't notice the backslashes, - nice photos,
thanks for the explanation.
Sounds like you are striving for perfection I can only dream of with my
humble bi-naural setup, although I have achieved amazing results with
apparent vertical information when monitored on headphones. Neutral
listeners noticed and correctly identified height differences with gentle
waves breaking on a shingle beach below, a colony of guillemots & razorbill=
s
in the centre and herring & lbb gulls 'up in the sky' when listening to a
clip recorded half-way up a 200ft sea cliff.
I have many examples of front-to-back as well as overhead left, right &
diagonal passes from my nocturnal ramblings with Manx Shearwaters
I enjoy experimenting with mic placements and find reviewing 'bi' recording=
s
does give a sense of place compared with conventional crossed pair
soundscape recordings.
I am now waiting for the R9 to come to UK as a replacement for my stolen
RZ30.
best wishes
BigRog
