What recorder? I am between recorders at the moment having just sold
my HHB portadat. (Because DAT is fading quickly). Sound Devices
recorders are on the wish list.

I think you are correct in this, I've decided to hold off with the FEL
until I have the new recorder, I will record direct, avoiding the SQN.
(At least whilst sounscape recording).
