Ah. You're doing MS.

I think I know what's happening. If you have engaged the MS in the=20
menu, meaning that you're recording the MS 'through' the matrix=20
circuit, then you do NOT want to also decode the headphone feed=20
through MS. The monitoring of MS in the headphones is only if you're=20
recording the two mics seperately to each track, for processing later.

If however, you have it turned off, and you want to 'monitor' through=20
MS, then do as you're doing. But when recording, select 1,2 (MS) This=20
take the inputs 1 and 2, send them through MS for headphone monitoring.

If you're sending the signal through the MS twice, because you've set=20
it in the input menu, AND in the headphone, then it's possible to do=20
weird things like hearing it only in one channel.

Also, I think you can't select A,B while recording because A,B might=20
only be a playback mode. Either that, or you have to add it to your=20
list of 'headphone favorites'. You do this in the menus. You can=20
select as many of the headphone signals as you want, or erase the=20
ones you don't use. That way it'll appear on the little knob on the=20
right. I can't rememer which menu # it is, but I think it's called=20
'HP Favorites'.
