Currently Audition does not offer ASIO driver support. I have been using MME drivers and have not seen this issue there. I think you are speaking of WMA drivers or running multiple applications for multiple channels. Right? Shortly RME will offer free firmware direct record using ASIO. This will allow direct recording of up to 72 channels with close to 0 cpu load. I am watching for this release like a hawk. I wish I could be on the beta list for this.
