Nope, the Cantarine should be a external faderboard, that is used for
controlling the inputs in a different ( Faders instead of pots ) manner.
Mainly used by, or designed for Production sound people ( like myself ) who
take a whole bunch on a soundcart ( like

Well, one of the main reasons i got a Cantar, was because of the Mic inputs=
.
And I never made a proper AB test between a SD 7X series, and a Cantar, but
my rough guess is that the difference in price is not only for the whistles
and bells :-) ( Very good mic pre-amps )
