Good question Steve, I think the "db" figures are misleading, impossible to=
understand and useless.
(Can anyone explain such figures? Fine, I be happy!)
Suppose you have a high output and noisy microphone: Then you will hear mic=
noise whatever you do.
Suppose you have a low output mic with very good noise values (Are there
such a one??) - Then, but only then, you will hear mic amp noise.
As most mic's are today, they have such a high output that what you hear is=
mic noise - well on top of the mic preamp noise.
