<Martyn-- Interesting. The echos seem to travel more to the sides now-- with a less amplitude and warmer too. The stereo image still seems a little narrower than what I heard on Walt's MKH-20-SASS in the field. Was the road head-on and in the same direction as the aquatic events? I'm curious because I entertain mkh 20's>SASS fantasies. Thanks. Rob D.> I positioned the mics on top of the car roof and had my recorder on the dashboard; I couldn't see which way they the mics were pointed so it was no= t as accurate as I had hoped. I was a total chicken in so much as there were = a million mosquitoes and I didn't fancy being eaten alive at that time of night. My car was just touching the lake down a forest road facing the water. I still think the recording is slightly different to the original but not too much. You should entertain the system Rob and live your fantasies! Martyn Martyn Stewart Bird and Animal Sounds Digitally Recorded at: http://www.naturesound.org N47.65543 W121.98428 Redmond. Washington.
