That was at the inlet of the lake where a series of beaver dams make
nicely terraced pools. I like the musical trinkle of water drops
falling from a large spruce overhanging a pool to the right. It was
recorded with a sony MD and Wl-183s (quasi-binaural) strapped about
head height to either side of an 8" diameter alder.
Meanwhile, a couple hundred yards away, I was recording near the edge
of the lake with NT1-As,on a tripod, near-coincident with a barrier,
and a PMD-670. In this snippet you get to hear a douglas squirrel,
varied thrush, the beaver splash, a red-winged blackbird, and several
other birds. I wonder what bird that is at the end of the clip.
