I can hear it, and sometimes I EQ it down in post. It's intended to 
compensate for clothing, and I expect it's of some help with the 
layers of windscreens we need in the field. I've done a series of 
pink noise recordings with windscreens on and off, with the intention 
of charting the windscreen effect, and haven't had a chance to 
analyze them yet...
