Sorry for changing the thread, thought it might show up better in the archives.
We found that the foam windscreen that comes with the NT-4 provides
too little protection from wind and, as the NT-4 manual notes, the
mic needs a shock-mount too. You can make your shock-mount/zeppelin
very inexpensively from 3" PVC pipe, nylon mesh gutter cover and
jacket from fake fur. There are some photos of a student's home made
rig in this folder.

Only the front part needs a fake fur jacket. You can also use 4"
thinwall PVC which will make the unit lighter weight. One of the
cable that comes with the NT-4 is fine for the NH900.
