This message was on the r a m p s newsgroup, thought someone may be
interested....
Details as follows.
Well, it's time to start clearing out a few items down in the equipment
room,
and the ol' Telinga is the first thing to go... What I have for sale
is a
Telinga Pro V Parabolic Mic that I purchased back in 1999. During my
wildlife
documentary days this handy item was the prefered weapon of choice for
capturing bird songs, insect chatter, oxen butting heads, and the sound
of
glaciers calving. The dish is in good condition though obviously used.
Supplied as part of the set-up is as follows: 1) A 21 inch clear and
flexible
parabolic dish that can be rolled up (yes, rolled up!) for easy
packing. 2)
The standard foam-covered-handle with an attached four-foot-long xlr
cable. 3)
The center cylinder/windscreen into which a microphone is inserted.
I've looked all over but can not find a serial number on the dish,
handle, or
wind screen.
In my experience, the AKG Blue Line Mic with an omni capsule is the
perfect
microphone for this set-up, though I'm not supplying any mics in the
package.
Again, the dish is obviously used (i.e.: minor surface scratches);
there are no
rips, tears, divots, or embedded bumps.
Interested? Shoot me an e-mail. I'll write back with more info and
can send
off a picture.
Thanks
