Although obviously I am slightly biased, it's worth pointing out that the
Denon Flash Card recorder accepts a maximum card size of 120mb, which
unless you are prepared to accept seriously compressed audio, very much
limits recording times. The Marantz PMD680/690 accept cards up to 2gb,
giving you uncompressed stereo recording times of 2.5 hrs, and many more
if you accept some compression.
You could also consider our Professional MiniDisc recorder, the PMD650,
which has several unique features, including a 2 second TOC update whilst
recording, giving an additional layer of security for your recordings.
Best Wishes
Matt

Can anyone give a very brief summary of the specifications of the Sony
TCD5 - Pro II ?
And would anyone on the list recommend it, or know of any problems it
might
have, especially when recording in humid rainforest ?
many thanks in advance, Mark Pearman
