I used the TCD5-Pro2 for many years and much of my recording was in the humid
lowlands of Ecuador. It was highly recommended by Cornell and I found this
machine to be fairly durable. It is underpowered for using a ME-66 or 67 mic
and thus I had to use the Saul Mineroff booster. It incredibly slow to fast
forward or rewind and the speaker is marginal. If you are determined to use a
cassette, I am not sure if this is worth the cost. The old TCM 5000 might be
better. I am now using the HHB Portadisc but when I use a cassette I use the
TCM.

I would not recommend the Pro 2 anymore.
