Would the following be correct??? I’m trying to make sense of where this bird is really at.!!!! The Koel that we all see & hear in eastern Australia is the Australian Koel which is a subspecies of the Pacific Koel. The Koel seen in the west (Indian Ocean area) is the Asian Koel – usually reported from either Christmas Is, Cocos-Keeling &/or Ashmore Reef. Can anyone add to this assumption?
