My greatest concern with any amalgamation is that the supergroup maydispense of one of the two journals, being Australian Field Ornithology.This journal is essential as Emu has become (is trying to become??) ajournal which is really only of interest to the scientific community whereasAFO has scientific papers that are of interest to and are able to be readand understood by non-scientists, which would be the majority ofbirdwatchers.
