There are, but they tend not to have much information in them. People
seem to just buy binoculars and look through them. They don't chat
about techniques and attachments, etc, like with cameras, I suppose
because there just isn't that much to talk about.
Most people who contribute to them don't seem to have much experience
with binocular other than the two or three pairs they've owned. The
most knowledgeable people are those who use them for astronomy, but
their binouculars don't get as badly mistreate as ours so they wouldn't
be of much help with this.

There must be a site dedicated to this sort of thing? There is for
cameras and other gear...

Done to death, yes, but all anecdotally. I doubt anyone has ever
performed any proper subjective tests of binocular robustness. Perhaps
someone could volunteer to buy up a heap of binoculars and perform these
tests, report the results to us and then give all the buggered
binoculars to a scheme such as has been proposed.

1. The robustness of certain brands versus others. Probably well and
truly done to death.
