Hi Paul,

Thanks for your comment.  I have put in two links below giving pharmacological 
information on Cinnarizine and one link to information about dramamine.  Both 
are listed as S2 Drugs in the UK. As you point out, Cinnarizine has been 
associated with cases of Drug Induced Parkinsonism, especially in elderly 
patients on long term therapy on dosages equal to or in excess of 150mgs, 
whereas my husband uses a single dose of between 25 and 50mgs - I am lucky 
enough not to have to take anything!

The bottom line is that all such drugs need to be taken with caution. The side 
effects and special precautions associated with dramamine don't make for happy 
reading either!  In the end it is up to each individual to read up on any drug 
they are considering using before taking it, seeking medical advice if 
necessary.
