Hi all,

I know a lot of you go spotlighting and probably a lot more would if they had good equipment.

I wanted to let you know about a new re-chargeable torch I've come across which does a great job spotlighting for just over an hour, maybe even 90 mins depending on battery care. Naturally with these batteries you need to charge, then flatten, charge, flatten, charge, flatten and naturally, charge before going out into the field. They also last longer with full discharging and charging each time.

I recently bought a Pelican Black Knight M11 series flashlight. Aust RRP around $249.00

Australian residents see:

http://www.pelicanaustralia.com/

and for those overseas:

http://www.pelican.com/about/international.php

It comes with a charger, car charger and for another $60 - 70 dollars or so you can buy a spare battery (in order to have two when you go out spotlighting thus having up to 3 hours of light). The only drawback is it is a non focusing beam so what you see is what you get (so to speak):-)

The main reason for looking for a new light was the drama one has going through Airport Security with the motorcycle battery and chargers and associated wires, to say nothing of the weight!

I had occasion to return the torch to Pelican (this was to to do with the retailer and not the torch) and was astounded at the speed of unquestioned service from them. They offer full back up to their products worldwide and I suggest contacting them and asking for a recommended retailer in your area or even buying direct from them.

This e-mail comes with the standard disclosure that I have no commercial interest in these lights whatsoever except to say they're terrific, light and easy to carry through security!

Hope this is useful to you, I know I'm impressed with it.

Cheers

Alan
