Just to note, I have received at least 6 spam messages in the last day
that were sent to the birding-aus mailing list (they have the
[BIRDING-AUS] tag in the subject line). There seems to be a spate of them
at the moment (maybe they somehow detect the word "spam" in the
subject line in the archives). My question stands, how are these spammers getting access to the mailing list?
