Maybe I can. This is my work email, and there are filters on it, which
kill off a large amount of spam, I understand, although I don't get
notification of how much. However, the filters work using a
context-judgement method - that is, they kill emails based on how many
times suspect words appear in the entirety of the text (this is why a
lot of spam has "white text" built in). It could be that the additional
text added by Russell's listserv makes the filter handle two identical
spam messages, one posted to my work email and one posted to B-A in a
different (and differently successful) way.
God only knows.
