Ian Dowling referred to Oolambeyan National Park near Hay as " now a National Park specifically for Plain Wanderer". Not exactly true. Oolambeyan NP protects some vegetation types (= habitat) that are very much under represented in the NSW reserve system (anywhere come to that). That Plains Wanderers are found in this habitat provided some very good additional leverage for acquisition when this station came on the market.
