Roy's note is unintentionally ambiguous. As most
will realise, White-breasted Woodswallows (not Hooded Robins) are abundant on
the Gold Coast, and often roost on powerlines. The Australo Robins, on the other
hand, tend to stay close to the ground - they prefer fencelines. Even in drought
I would say the chances of finding a Hooded Robin perching on powerlines in Gold
Coast suburbia to be next to none - AS
