Hi Jade
Highly unlikely for a Hooded Robin to be perched on
powerlines on the Gold Coast, but anything is possible. Are you sure you
have not mistaken a White-breasted Woodswallow for a male HR? These are
common on the Gold Coast and often sit singularly on powerlines.
