Dear Cilla How are things ? Anyhow the so recently late - and much mourned - Graham Pizzey said there was no detectable difference between the Brown Thornbill and White-browed Scrubwren buzzing calls. I haven't great hearing and agree. I've tried to have a guess and then watch - it's amazing how often I see no birds at all and also how many times both species pop up if I try to respond by squeaking etc. Michael Norris Bayside, SE Melbourne Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
