I think the issue is knowing the ethical behaviour of the people who you are
dealing with.  There are some people who will stoop to any level to get a tick
or a photo ...
I certainly wouldn't share information with people who are in the habit of using
recordings to "flush" shy or elusive birds.

Unless you sight sensitive birds in areas where the problem types are unlikely
to have the capacity to get to [eg mountain sites that require rock scrambling
and scunge bashing to get to] it is best not to mention your sighting in the
first place [its like telling people you have a secret ...]
