Well, I can say that I have never had a leech bite me through two pairs of bushwalking socks - which is what I normally wear when I am wearing boots. [The logic of two pairs of socks in boots that are the right size for two pairs of socks is that you don't get blisters]. That is all fairly academic for me these days, as I rarely wear bushwalking boots. Ticks are far more of an issue for me than leeches. Regards, Laurie.
