The Brown Goshawk appears to be a common sight in the leafier suburbs of Melbourne, although, more often, the only sign of their presence is raptor alarm calls of the White-plumed Honeyeaters and Noisy Miners. I cannot comment on the Collared Sparrowhawk as an urban occurrence, as I have not seen this species around Melbourne. Cheers Ian |
