hi joel,
thanks for the mail.
the connection failed.
my ip address is 192.168.0.50.    tried that address too but telnet failed.
i feel so stupid. my process is sitting there in a loop polling COM2 and I foolishly  forgot to code  away to terminate the process from COM1.
