>Is there a particular reason you want to do this from the TS7800 directly? Mainly for practical reasons. Where this unit is fitted, there are no other PCs around. And bringing a laptop, even one loaded with Linux is impractical. As other people have said, the TS7800 with Debian is just like another PC. So why can't it be used to format a disk standalone?
