Hi,
I have been using the ts7300 for a project where I needed the FPGA. I
was disappointed by the cobbled nature of the interface, it does NOT
have all the ep9302 control address and data directly connected. Look
at the TS7300 schematic, and the FPGA project before you make your
choice particularly the cpld being in the middle being used to
multiplex address and data, and some control strobes. For example,
creating a simple register array, and using the default project will
fail (write all registers then read back testing loop) without timing
constraints. It is difficult to derive the timing constraints because
of the presence of the cpld changing the timing. I chose the ts7300
because I expected an experience similar to using the ip-engine from
bright star, where the linux distro, and the fpga all worked together
seamlessly, and I was able to complete in 2 weeks. I spent months
trying to get a 2.6 kernel, and solve the fpga timing... For my next
project I am not likely to use ts7300.
