Have you tried (if it's an option) changing the multicast address? 224.0.0.1 sends to all systems on the subnet 224.0.0.2 to all routers but 239.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255 is reserved for admin scope-relative addresses and routers are "typically configured with filters to prevent multicast traffic in this range from flowing outside of the local network."
