Have you tried (if it's an option) changing the multicast address?

224.0.0.1 sends to all systems on the subnet
224.0.0.2 to all routers
but 239.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255 is reserved for admin scope-relative addresses and routers are "typically configured with filters to prevent multicast traffic in this range from flowing outside of the local network."

If you're using multicast you probably already know all that...
Also, just for grins, have you tried alternate ports?

I looked at that, and it seemed to me that it would make sense to do that if I was sending multicast frames but not when I'm receiving. I believe I will try your suggestion. I'm multicasting to 239.255.0.4 at 226.1.1.1 so I'll see if adding a route helps for inbound frames. I don't think it is, unless I read the instructions wrong.

Thanks! I'll go see!
