The only 'fault' I know of is potential IRQ conflicts.  I think only one of the 
three ends up being useful: one conflicts with the TS7300 FPGA ethernet port, 
and another one conflicts with the BAT3 board.  Plus, I guess the nonstandard 
pin-out on the SER4 headers, but that's clearly spelled out in BOLD LETTERS in 
the manual.

And Francesco, there is quite a bit of good info archived in the yahoo ML 
archive.  A search for "SER4" brings up quite a bit of previous experience that 
may help you.  Similarly, it would be helpful if you could post the 'fault' you 
mentioned, for future reference.
