hi!

I can tell that using an USB/serial converter works fine on a board with a 2.6 kernel. (don't bother to do this using a 2.4 kernel. -> that kernel has major bugs when it comes to USB/ serial converters). I used a $12  PalmConnect converter to hook my TS7200 to a laser with an RS232 connection and it worked just fine. The kernel modules for it are included in the default 2.6 tree, so you should not have any issues regarding kernel compilation.

Dear group,
We are in the process of evaluating TS7800 for use in an upcoming project.
I have some questions:
1. Has anyone got the TSUART serial ports to work? I have luck using
CPU COM2,
but the same code doesn't work on /ttts_ ports.
2. We need a lot of serial ports and so are looking into using a USB-serial
converter. Has anyone done this yet?
3. We would like to use a third-party PC-104 AD board. Has anyone tried
this?

TIA.
