I wouldn't expect a response from Technologic in under a week.. You can post questions here, though, and the occasional Tech. employee will respond in addition to the usual members.

I have been developing software that implements the CAN bus for the automotive industry, and have been so impressed with the amount of fault-tolerance and flexibility inherent in the devices. Plus, it seems that the technology is very open and well-discussed.

I use a TS-7300 with the enclosure and a TS-BAT3 board. You simply
move the 5V power out from the enclosure PSU PCV to the BAT3 5V input
connector and ignore the 12/24V input.

I added an 800x600 10.4" serial touch LCD (custom version of the
NagasakiIPC LM-104T), and a custom PCB connected to the FPGA header.

I've not used the CAN port as I repurposed the pin for my encoder
board.

With regard to Technologic Systems, I've had very positive dealings
with them. I would think they're very busy at the moment getting the
TS-7800 out the door.

Hope this helps,

PJE
