The big issue you're running into is that every floating point operation 
first gets tried with a FPU call that will fail since they're not crunch 
calls, then the kernel will use softfloat to perform the opperation.  
This causes a major performance hit, even compiling the system for 
softfloat would significantly improve the speed.
