Hi All,

I have been listening to the list for some time now and realized that
I am more of an end-user than a developer. I stay on the list even
though for the most part it is over my head because every now and then
pick up something very useful.

My project involves making a complete seismic system in a box. I have
the sensors, amps, digitizers and the TS7260 in a box. All you need to
do is set it down and plug in the ethernet cable and it starts to
work. It does the data capture, limited storage and sends the data
real time in a protocol we call LISS. The software was written at the
University of Bergen.

The problem is that the box only starts up 10% of the time. The two
LEDs behave as per the manual only now and then. The rest of the time
both LEDs come one the red one blinks once on and off and the they
both stay on in that state the TS7260 does not respond to ping or ftp
or telnet. Then every now and then it behaves just like it should both
LEDs turn off and the seismic box begins to do it's job perfectly.

It has attached a 512 USB memory stick for storage and to one of the
serial ports a digitizer. I behave the same weather I have anything
attached or not.

I will gladly send any information that would help trouble shoot
this box.

Thanks,

Rod
