What hardware are you using? Regarding the zd driver, when you compile it you
can tell it to use "rev B" or not, depending on the chipset. If you are using
the Prismiq adapter that Technologic has been shipping recently, you should be
all set. If it's something else, you might need the "B" driver. Keep in mind
that not all brands of hardware like to mix and match. The WiFi standards are
vague enough that not everything plays well with everything else. For instance
I used a Prismiq adapter and a Linksys Wireless Router, and it worked well.
Michael had Prismiq and Dlink (or Netgear?) router, and it was acting
intermittant for a while. I've got an old Cabletron wifi card for my laptop,
and it works OK most of the time, but once in a while it will get hung up and I
need to reboot the router, not the laptop. I use a Dell card in the laptop
using ndiswrapper and the windows2000 driver, against the same router and it
works well. I'm not expert, but I've seen people fight with these things,
linux, windows, embedded, whatever...
When you type "iwconfig --version" what does it say regarding versions for
"Wireless Extensions"? The zd driver wants a certain min, I can't remember what
it is.
What kernel are you using? 2.4.26-ts11?
When the card is working, what does "iwlist wlan0 scanning" show?
