Just to clarify Technologic's stance on this:

Since the TS-7200/7250 have already been released with 2.4, there
will most likely never be a time when 2.6 is shipped by default with
these boards. Thats not to say 2.6 won't ever run on TS-
7200/7250's, just that Technologic Systems probably won't be doing
100% of that port. As an embedded hardware OEM, what we really want
is for our customers to take TS-7200's to rebrand and build into
their own products. Because of this, we won't just casually change
what it is we are shipping as such would be breaking our promise of
long-term availability. To some customers, changing from 2.4 to 2.6
would in effect be the discontinuation of one product-line and the
introduction of another and we won't do that.

Now technically, I've been told the biggest complication in getting
the 2.6 port to the Cirrus chip to work right now is the fact that
the maintainers seem to have elected to change the base address of
the kernel from 0x218000 to an address much lower which conflicts
with the RedBoot bootloader. Also, a lot of internal API's have
changed and I hear devfs is no longer in style; all of which add up
to extra surprises for anybody that is using TS7200/7250 boards
under 2.4 today.
