Keeping cues, marks when transferring files

Subject: Keeping cues, marks when transferring files

Hi All
Some time ago I got a Sony PCM M10. 1 feature I have used is the adding
marks or cues of some thing of interest during the recording. Recently I
have noticed those marks/cues are still there when the files are
transferred to the computer but lost if they copied to another location
such as backup drive. As yet I haven't found a solution. Has any one got
any suggestions
Many thanks.
David
