I never fold the parabola. I have It ready to record. If it's not to long to walk I have it on a tripod and carry it on the shoulder. If it's a longer walk I strap it on the outside of the backpack. A piece of fabric that's attached to the bottom of the backpack that covers the bottom of the parabola and then straps that go to the sides of the backpack with quick release. I have the recorder in the lid of the backpack. It's all connected and ready to record. I can use the lid as a shoulderbag as well.
