The LS12 ( and so probably the LS14 too ) is not a scratch on the LS11/10/5 
series. The preamp is quite useless for nature. Seriously, if you love your 
earlier model and fancy trying the new generation, don't bother. They are as if 
made by a completely different low-end manufacturer. They still do high-end 
blurb though.
