Paulo, be careful with the Tascam DR-680. I was all enthused about this uni= t until I did some research.=0D =0D According to Avisoft the dynamic range is only 69dB, compared with 84dB for= the Fostex FR-2LE. There were many reports of poor circuit boards and unit= s needing to go back to the factory for complete overhauls. The phantom cir= cuits are poor, and require an hack (soldering in additional caps) to bring= up to decent standards. Search on gearslutz for this info. =0D =0D Maybe a Mk II unit will address these shortcomings, but I am not holding my= breath.=0D =0D -- Robin Parmar |
