Hi H=C3=A5kan,=0D
I have never used a DR-680, but I might as well mention this as it might be=
useful to some. I sent an inquiry to Tascam about the voltage requirement=
s for an external battery pack for the DR-680. They replied, "15 volts maxi=
mum, a regulated 12 volts minimum." =0D

--Another problem that some people have had, is using an external battery. =
On the unit it's printed 12v. I use --external cheap chinese 12v li-ion bat=
teries and I have never had any problems. A lot of the users that have --ha=
d problems use 9v batteries. I don't know why... just because it works? But=
It can cause problems as some --people have experienced. Yes some of them =
use 9v and haven't had any issues, but why take the chance? --As I said, it=
's printed on the unit... 12v. =0D
--DR-680 stops working at around 8.2v so why not have the "headroom" from =
a 12v battery?=0D
--At least I recommend 12v battery.
