Eric,=0D =0D =0D I mean that the microphone is drawing current in an unbalanced way. As lon= g as it draws exactly the same current from both legs, a potential noise co= mponent on the phantom power voltage will be rejected successfully by the (= differential) preamplifier.=0D =0D =0D One could simply measure the DC voltage between the XLR Pins 2 ans 3 in or= der to check that kind of balance.
