With a good, low noise, 24bit recorder you can record with -30dB levels and=
 post edit to normalize and maybe compress the levels. This should give you=
 plenty of headroom. I have used this technique for years. But, I can under=
stand in certain conditions you may want two different gains. A split cable=
 could work. I don't think a 702 has the dual recording you are looking for=
 as it is getting to be a pretty old design these days. Sound Devices has a=
ll their manuals online to check on the details of operation.=0D
