hi -

i think this answers your question - go to your sound devices menu and sele=
ct
"input 1&2" and set them to "unlinked" rather than linked. this will give y=
ou
independent control of the the levels of inputs 1 & 2 via the two knobs on =
the
front of the unit.

also in the menu on your 702 you can to set the file type to ".wav mono" ra=
ther
than ".wav poly"
it will produce mono stems rather than a single multi-channel (stereo) - wh=
ich
might make sense if you are recording dual-mono rather than stereo, as it w=
ere.
